NYTimes 365/360 – Jer Thorp

NYTimes: 365/360 - 2009 (in color)

This visualization by Jer Thorp capture the complex relationships of the entire year of news into a single graphic piece.  He uses a code in Processing which visits the New York Times Article search API to gather information and draws connections between them. The final graphic is being sold as prints at his Etsy shop, or you can try out the code in processing to create the graphic on your own.

Also if you would like to, you can check out an interesting  TED talk by Thorp himself where he describes his different works and also about data and the relationship with our human world.
