FLUX installation – MATSYS Studio




This installation doubles up as an exhibition panel and is produced using a CNC router and advanced parametric modeling techniques. Through the use of parametric modeling and a series of custom designed scripts, the installation design can be quickly updated to address new design criteria. From the thickness of the ribs to the overall twisting geometry and perforated skins, the spatial form of the installation is controlled through a complex set of definitions.

The basic unit and cross section of this installation is a simple 6 sided polygon, after which it is modeled into an undulating and twisting form.
