Design: One & Co

Theme: Transformation from solid to liquid
Technique: SLS (Selective Laser Sintering)
Material: PA – Polyamide (Nylon)

The development from a subtle pattern to an intricately intertwined and malleable surface gives the Cadence lamp its unique appeal. The progressively intensifying light invites touch and inspires the observer’s imagination.

The design is generated from a computer file, which is then manufactured by using a rapid prototyping technology. This 3D material printing process allows for freedom of design far beyond the capacity of traditional manufacturing technologies.

**SLS (Selective laser sintering) is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a high power laser to fuse small particles of material into a mass that has a desired three-dimensional shape, by scanning cross-sections generated from a 3-D CAD file.
