1597 Fibonacci Lamp – Janne Kyttaenen

This ornamental wall lamp was derived from the Fibonacci series, commonly seen in nature like the arrangement of seeds in a sunflower, and the spikes on a pine cone.

Via an algorithm, the designer could vary the number of ‘stalks’ on the lamp, the length of each stalk, as well as the orientation of the stalks. The final piece was 3D printed in a light diffusing polymer (possibly PA2200, nylon).
